Mrs. Annette Brady Buckley

Aubrey “Annette” Brady Buckley, 83, passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2026. A devoted mother, wife, and sister, Annette’s life was centered on her family. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Banks Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Damien Pierson, Chad Castleberry, Gage Castleberry, Phil Brown, Zac Brown, and Lynzey Thornton. Mrs. Buckley was born on July 20, 1942, in Worth County to the late Homer P. and Blanche Fowler Brady. She lived in Worth County all her life and was a member of the Worth County Class of 1960. She was a graduate of Albany Business College, a former USDA employee, and later worked at Coverdale Peanut Company before becoming a homemaker once her children were born. She was the loving mother of three daughters, Lisa Carol Buckley, Judy Lynn Buckley Pierson (Damian), and Vickie Susan Buckley Castleberry (Chad); grandchildren, Melissa Buckley Thornton (Lynzey), Kimber Pierson Landis (Jake), Gage Castleberry, and Joshua Castleberry; great-grandchild, Jorja Thornton Annette was known for her kindness, a quality she valued deeply and instilled in her children and grandchildren. She lived by the Golden Rule, leading with compassion, warmth, and quiet strength in all she did. She shared 48 years of marriage with her husband, Charles “Richard” Buckley, until his passing in 2012. She also shared a lifelong, unbreakable bond with her older sister, Alda Brady, who preceded her in death in 2004. Annette found her true calling as a homemaker and “Mamma”. She was active in her community as a life long member of Terrell Baptist Church teaching Sunday School to pre-schoolers and Room Mother at Worth Academy. She had a love for cooking and found joy in preparing meals for those she loved, bringing family together around the table. She also enjoyed reading and gardening in her spare time. She had a passion for her farm, caring for her cows and pets, bird watching, and collecting cookbooks. Annette will be remembered for her unwavering love, her gentle spirit, and the kindness she showed to everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and caregivers who provided some much kindness and care to Mrs. Buckley. It will never be forgotten.
