Mr. Ralph Waldo Price II

Mr. Ralph Waldo Price, II, 80, of Sylvester died Monday November 19, 2012 at Tift Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Davis, Mrs. Heather Cooper and Mrs. Karen Wright officiating. Mr. Price was born on June 14, 1932 in Del Rio, TX. to the late Ralph Newton and Claudia York Price. He had lived in Worth County since 1982 moving here from Albany. Mr. Price was a lieutenant in the United States Navy during the Korean War and retired from the Marine Corps Logistic Base as a Deputy Civilian Commander after 42 years. He was a member of Pinson Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include his sons, Ralph Waldo Price. III (Raven) of Leesburg and Mark Russell Price (Sandra) of Sylvester; daughter, Karen Price Wright (Jeff) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Erin Spencer, Derica Hansen, Alicia Wolfe, Ashley Price, Aubrey Vaughn, Kristin Price, Shannon Stalvey, Jessica Foster, Heather Cooper and Ryan Sexton; 21 great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Womack of Austin, TX. In addition to his parents Mr. Price was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Bowen Price on June 7, 2010, and a son Courtney Price on May 25, 2009. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
