Mrs. Ruby Jewel Gibson Williams

Mrs. Ruby Jewel Gibson Williams, 89, of Poulan, died on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow in the Poulan Cemetery. The Rev. Kirk Lavender, and Rev. Terry Siniard will officiate. Mrs. Williams was born on July 13, 1932 in Ellijay, GA., to the late Willie and Nancy Burns Gibson. She had lived in Poulan since 1950, and was formerly employed with the Poulan Cotton Mill. Mrs. Williams retired from Coats and Clark Textile Manufacturing Company, where she worked as a operator. She enjoyed singing, fishing and cooking. Mrs. Williams loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her husband of seventy one years, Coy Williams of Poulan; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her children, Jimmy Williams, Billy Williams and Linda Williams Suggs.
