Mr. Glenn Powell, 56, of Sylvester died Tuesday December 21, 2010 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday December 23, 2010 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Jason Jones will officiate. Mr. Powell was born in Sylvester on April 20, 1954 and had lived in Worth County most of his life. Mr. Powell was employed with FedEx Freight formerly Watkins Truck Lines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, was a Mason and a member of Worth Lodge # 194 and Isabella Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Hall Powell of Sylvester, children, Misty Montgomery (Bill) of Sylvester, Kari Clark (Chris) of Sylvester, grandchildren, Kaleigh & Gamble Montgomery, Kylie Johnson, Austin & Lillie Clark, father and step mother, Bennie M. Powell (Mary) of Sylvester, sisters, Kathryn P. Marchman (Tommy) of Sylvester, Annette Graham of Sylvester, brothers, Gene Powell of Sylvester, Ronnie Powell (Cindy) of Sylvester. Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his mother, Janie L. Powell, a brother, Wayne Powell and a sister in law Jo Ann Powell. For those desiring memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
