Mrs. Mary Louise Singletary, 82, of Sylvester, died on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. The family will have a private funeral service. The Rev. Jimmy Cargle, Rev. Jerry Cooper, Rev. Tim Oliver and Rev. David Pickard will officiate. Mrs. Singletary was born on October 18, 1937 in Alapaha, GA., to the late Henry Allen and Mary Jane Tucker Guess. She had lived in Worth County since 1973 after moving from Berrien County. Mrs. Singletary retired as the part owner of Singletary and Son Tire Company in Sylvester. She enjoyed cooking, reading her Bible, and bird watching, but most importantly, spending time with her friends and family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Mrs. Singletary was an active member of Northside Baptist Church where she served faithfully for many years. Survivors include her children, Brenda G. Walker (Bob) of McDonough, GA., Willard H. Singletary, Jr., (Dub) of Sylvester, Mike Singletary (Karen) of Sylvester, Rocky A. Singletary (Sharon) of McDonough, GA., and Mollie Singletary of Sylvester; grandchildren, Mitchell Singletary (Tonya), Christina Strickland (Lee), Amanda Bishop (Colby), Cody Singletary, Dylan Singletary (Madison), Melinda Beasley (Greg), Adam Singletary (Kayla), Andrew and Maggie Singletary, David and Caitlyn Cooper, Madison Haralson; great grandchildren, David and Lena Singletary, Ashtyn Walker, Wyatt and Camden Bishop, Walker Strickland, Nathan and Drake Beasley, Weston Strickland, Jayce, Grayson, and Watson Singletary; siblings, Jason Guess (Sue), Emory Guess, Joe Guess (Nora), and Harold Guess (Marla); sister-in-law, Myra Guess and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Singletary was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Henry Singletary on April 9, 2010; siblings, Edward Guess and Ouida Chadwick.
