Mrs. Mary Lee Harrison Gay

Mrs. Mary Gay, 90, of Sylvester, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Donnie Duncan will officiate. Mrs. Gay was born on January 18, 1932 in Tift County, to the late Oren and Pearl Sewell Harrison. She had lived in Worth County most of her life and was a homemaker. Mrs. Gay enjoyed gardening and sewing. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Gay was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Sylvester. Survivors include her husband, Fred Gay of Sylvester; children, Mark Gay (Emily) of Forsyth, Roger Gay (Karen) of Staunton, VA, Eric Gay (Joi) of Elkton, VA and Gina Balkcom (Danny) of Sylvester; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; sister, Ernestine Hawkins of Omega.
