Mr. Margie Allred Harris

Mrs. Margie Allred Harris, 95, of Sylvester died Wednesday February 2, 2011 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday February 5, 2011 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Damascus Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Lawson and Rev. Bob Wescott officiating. Mrs. Harris was born in Tallapoosa, GA. on July 8, 1915 to the late Willie Lee and Minnie Caroline Summerville Allred. She lived in Worth and Turner Counties all of her life. Mrs. Harris was a homemaker who enjoyed her flowers and loved her family. She was a member of the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church in Turner County. Survivors include daughters, Lillian Scarborough of Columbus, GA., Anysteen Smith of Bremen, GA., Margaret Lawrence of Ft. Walton, FL., Evelyn Willis (Ken) of Sylvester, GA., sons, Ray Wilson (Bobbye) of Hollywood, SC., Havard Harris (Sandra) of Crossnore, NC., Karl Harris (Pat) of Leesburg, GA., Wilbur Harris (Judy) of Sylvester, GA., and a great number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel L. Harris on August 22, 1978. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
