Mrs. Kathleen Hughes Camp Blaine, 91, of Sylvester died Friday May 6, 2011 at Phoebe Worth Medical Center, Sylvester, Georgia. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday May 10, 2011 at the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery in Vimville, Mississippi with Rev. Carroll H. Camp officiating. Mrs. Blaine was born in Meridian MS. on December 23, 1919 to the late Johnie Howard and Jessie M. Fountain Hughes. She had lived in Sylvester for the past 2 years moving there from Meridian, where she lived most of her life. Mrs. Blaine loved the Lord, and was devoted to her family. She was a member of the Causeyville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was known as a gifted student of the Scriptures. Survivors include her son, Carroll H. Camp (Cheryl) of Warwick, daughter in law, Fredna Harris Camp of Meridian, MS., step son, Dorman Blaine (Kathy) of Knoxville, TN., grandchildren, Dawn Crawford, Richie Camp, Matthew Camp and Lauren Covington, sister Edwina Blackburn, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Blaine was preceded in death by her husbands, R.V. Camp, Hester Blaine and a son, Ryan Camp. Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester, in conjunction with Stephens Funeral Home of Meridian, is in charge of local arrangements. There will be brief viewing Tuesday just prior to the interment service at Hebron. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 97, Warwick, Georgia 31796.
