Mrs. June "Mema" Knight, 75, of Sylvester went to be with the lord on Sunday May 27, 2012 at Pine Shadows Retirement Manor. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday May 31, 2012 at the First Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Dr. Ben Bush officiating. Mrs. Knight was born on January 7, 1937 to the late William Raymond and Clara Bell Smith Corbett in Fulton, County. She had lived in Worth County since 1971 and was a former Co/Owner of J & J Grocery. Mrs. Knight enjoyed flowers, collecting stamps and Santa Clause figurines. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, W.M.U., Senior Adults, sang in the choir and was the secretary of the Sunday School. Mrs. Knight was a Pink Lady at Phoebe Worth Medical Center. Survivors include her daughters Vicki Knight of Sylvester, Patti Watson (Rick) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Mallory James (Matt), Ryan Watson, Kaitlin McGahee (Brian), great grandchild, Brianna McGahee; sister, Peggy Trowell of Sylvester; brothers, Jimmy Williams of Lithonia, Richard D. Williams (Dee) of Gainesville, Mickey Williams (Judy) of Decatur; special niece and her son, Stacey Tyler and Nicholas, special nephew Tim Trowell. In addition to her parents Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Jack Knight on September 9, 2005. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
