Mr. John White

John Bunyan White, 85, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Navicent Hospital in Macon, Georgia. Per his wishes, Mr. John was cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. He was born on October 8, 1936 in Worth County, to the late Richard Elkin and Agnes Raines White in Warwick, Georgia. Mr. White was preceded in death by the love of his life, Faye Weaver White who passed away on April 5, 2020. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Larry White (Marlene) and Donald Neil White. John drove a Worth County School Bus for 20 years. For many years, John and his partner/nephew Lanny Whitacre were widely known as they stayed busy during deer season skinning/dressing deer and making sausage for hunters from several surrounding countes. He had lived in Worth County all of his life. He was born and raised on a farm and lived out his life dream as a farmer. At the end of his life, he resided just one half a mile from his birthplace. John was known for his exploits as the fish and chicken fryer at family cookouts. He was a member and deacon at Rocky Mount Baptist Church where he had attended services all of his life. Mr. White is survived by his son, Russell White (Troy); sisters, Mary Joyce Whitacre, Betty Jean Wright (Bowen); brothers, Jmes WHite (Bernice) of Sylvester and Denver White (Wanda) of Leesburg.
