Mr. John "Jack" Samuel Brand IV Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. John "Jack" Samuel Brand IV, 82, of Sylvester, died on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Pine Shadows Retirement Manor. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Banks Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Mike Davis will officiate. Mr. Brand was born on September 29, 1939 in Tallahassee Florida, to the late John Samuel Brand III, and Freddie Aultman Brand. He had lived in Albany most of his life and was a graduate of Florida State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree. Mr. Brand retired as Vice President of the First State Bank, where he worked for thirty-five years. He enjoyed fishing, doing yard work, and going to the beach. Mr. Brand loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Albany Exchange Club, and the Albany Kiwanis Club. Mr. Brand was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Sylvester. Survivors include his children, Bo Brand (Kathleen) and Matt Brand (Elizabeth) all of Sylvester; grandchildren, Taylor Brand, Jack Brand, Fletcher Brand, Chloe Brand, Parker Brand, Mattie Hill Brand, Ben Gabaldon and Kate Gabaldon; step-children, Becky Miller and Daryl Elrodd; siblings, Jimmy Brand of Atlanta and Anne Rhodes of Tallahassee; niece, Joy Pilcher; nephews, Jack Brand and John Warnock. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brand was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Brand. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:15 PM until the service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
