Mr. John Lewis Coleman, Sr., 53, of Sylvester, died on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at his residence. Per his wishes, Mr. Coleman was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Coleman was born on June 3, 1968 in Worth County. He had lived in Worth County most of his life and was formerly employed by Aspire in Albany, where he worked as a security manager. In High School Mr. Coleman enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball. He enjoyed collecting firearms, shooting, and firearm training. Mr. Coleman loved spending time with his friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Melita Anne Coleman of Sylvester; children, Austin Coleman (Brianne), Chandler Coleman, Victoria Coleman, and John Lewis Coleman, Jr.; grandchildren, Haleigh Coleman, Levi Coleman, and Payton Rae Coleman; parents, Lewis and Myrtle Coleman of Worth County; uncles, Billy Cooper (LaVonne), and Larry Joe Cooper (Elaine); a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Coleman was loved deeply by his family, especially by his wife, Melita. He was the love of her life. They always promised to love each other, "Forever and a day".
