He went to elementary school in Woodbridge and Arlington VA, before moving to the Philippines and attending the International school in Manila with his brother Devin. Mr. Deariso attended Kenmore junior high school and Langston high school in Arlington VA, upon returning from the Philippines. Following his graduation, he turned his love of music into a career working promotions for music stores. He also learned how to play bass guitar, which he would love to play for friends and family. He was a very active person that enjoyed being outdoors and enjoying all aspects of life. Joe enrolled at MTSU in their music program at the time of his accident in 1991. After Mr. Deariso returned home from his accident Maria and Eddie cared for him at their house in Buies Creek. They were close to Joe’s aunt and uncle Bernadette and Pat Hetrick and his cousins Paul and Mark Hetrick . Joes father would take him fishing down by the lakes or go for walks on the caddy trail and visit other families with side trips out for ice cream with their dogs Dolly and Maggie. Joe had a lighthearted outgoing personality that would just make a connection with other people that were lucky enough to meet him. Even after his accident and everything he had been through he maintained his sense of humor and was able to make a connection with people who took the time to understand him. Most famously his Monty Python bits he would perform with Stanley McQuade for family and friends. Mr. Deariso held on to his love of music and was known to share it with the other patrons of the nursing home quite often. Joe is survived by his brother, Devin Deariso and his wife Patricia of Raleigh, NC; nephew, Zachary Devin Beuch Richmond VA.; aunt and uncle, Pat and Bernadette Hetrick of Raleigh, NC; cousins Paul and Erin Hetrick of Raleigh, NC, Mark and Erin Hetrick of Zebulon, Nate and Hannah.
