Mr. Jimmy A. Snipes

Mr. Jimmy A. Snipes, 82, of Poulan, died on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Pinson Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jill Willingham, Rev. Janet Sack, and Mr. Harry Van will officiate. Mr. Snipes was born on March 22, 1940 in Sumner, GA., to the late Joe W. and Doris Beatrice Jolly Snipes. He was a 1958 graduate of Sumner High School and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. Mr. Snipes became a licensed Real Estate Agent and went on to retire from the Real Estate Business after a very successful career. He wore several hats over the course of his life some including, being an licensed insurance agent, auctioneer and a former manager of both, Shingler Farm Service as well as TyTy Peanut Company. Mr. Snipes loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Pinson Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Gail Hannon Snipes; children Leah White (Noland) and Carey Snipes; grandchildren, Sierra White Bush (Jordan), Alexis White and Landon White; siblings, Gary Snipes, Sue Snipes Cashwell, Beth Snipes Wimberly, Jo Ann Snipes Dees and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the service hour at Pinson Memorial United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN. 38105 or to a charity of your choice.
