Mrs. Grace Dees Marshall, 87, of Sylvester died Thursday May 24, 2012 at Lee County Health Care. The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday May 27, 2012 at Sumner Cemetery with Rev. Matt Greene officiating. Mrs. Marshall was born in Florida on November 12, 1924 to the late William Jefferson and Lessie Mae Beaty Dees. She had lived in Worth County most of her life and was formerly employed with Sylvester Textile Company. Mrs. Marshall was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church. Her children and her grandchildren were her life and her faith in God. Survivors include her daughters; Audrey M. Emerson Irwin of Leesburg, Maxine Wade of Hendersonville, NC, Janice M. Hufstetler of Bronwood; son, Stanley Marshall of Adel; sisters, Colleen Coburn of Tifton, Frankie Pate Welch of Omega, Shirley Eason of Leesburg, Faye Russell of Peachtree City, Peggy Carson of Americus; brothers, John Dees of Macon, Wallace Dees of Carrollton, Robert Tracy Dees of Cincinnati, OH; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband John L. Marshall on July 21, 1979, a son Wayne Marshall and one sister Margaret Lawrence. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
