Mr. Glenn Raymond Wildes Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Glenn Raymond Wildes, 74, of Poulan, died on Friday, August 5, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family. The graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Griffin's Park in Poulan with military honors. The Rev. Fred White, and Rev. Nick Arbogast will officiate. Mr. Wildes was born on November 25, 1947 in Valdosta, Georgia, to the late Robert Leon Wildes and Carlease Kelly Houston. He had lived in Worth County most of his life, and was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force for eight years. Mr. Wildes was retired from the Marine Corps Logistics' Base in Albany, where he worked as a computer programmer. He was also the co-owner of the Poulan Pecan Company. Mr. Wildes enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding dirt roads, traveling, nature, and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife, Debbie Wildes of Poulan; children, Erika Porter (Thad) of Richland, Mississippi, and Buckley Wildes (Nikki) of Poulan; brother, Jimmy Wildes of Lee County; grandchildren, Brittney, Shelby, Gabby, Joey, and Alex; great grandchildren, Bailey, and Harper. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wildes was preceded in death by his step father, Griffin Houston, and two brothers, Roy Wildes, and Lee Houston.
