Ms. Fredene Childers

Ms. Fredene Childers, 75, of Sylvester died Sunday June 5, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday June 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Turner County. Mrs. Childers was born on October 7, 1935 to the late Fred Marion and Bonnie Wilma Swanson Childers. She had lived in Worth County and Sylvester since 1953 and was a former textile worker having worked at B.R.W. Mrs. Childers was a member of Poulan Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her son Ralph Childers of Sylvester, granddaughters Dawn Childers, Kristie Childers, Jamie Childers, sisters Barbara Kelly of Rossville, Joyce Apperson of Sylvester, Imogene Yeatts of Tobaccoville, NC, Hazel McDowell of Sylvester, Joann Chauncey of Kingsland, brothers Fonda (Bud) Childers of Poulan, Frankie Childers of Doles, Richie Childers of Sylvester and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Ms. Childers was preceded in death by her son Ray Childers, two brothers, James L. (Preacher) Childers, J.D. Childers and a sister Shirley Childers.
