Mrs. Pauline Flowers Alred Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Pauline Flowers Alred, 92, of Sylvester died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at PruittHeath-Sylvester. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Douglas Hatcher will officiate. Mrs. Alred was born on January 6, 1924 in Mitchell County to the late Julius and Annie Barton Flowers. She had lived in Mitchell and Dougherty Counties most of her life before moving to Sylvester in 2009. Mrs. Alred was a homemaker and a member of the Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Leroy Walker (Susan) of Sumner; daughter, Carolyn Cleveland (Ivy) of Albany; sisters, Catherine Hardy of Pensacola, FL, Mozelle Carver of Valdosta, and Marie Alred of Sylvester; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alred was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Lee Alred on May 28, 2011; son, J.C. Walker; grandsons, William Allen Walker, Jamie Lee Walker, Jason Lee Walker; brother, George W. Flowers; sisters, Lucille Flowers, Louise Walker and Betty J. Flowers.
