Mrs. Ernestine Laverne White Young

Mrs. Ernestine Laverne White Young, 79, of Worth County, died on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at her residence. Per her wishes, Mrs. Young was cremated and the memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Warren Gilpin will officiate. Mrs. Young was born on January 20, 1943 in Norman Park, GA., to the late Andrew Jackson, and Juanita Mahaley Hawkins White. She had lived in Worth County for the past 32 years, and was formerly employed with Doerun Sports Wear. Mrs. Young was a homemaker who enjoyed fishing and camping, but most importantly spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Doerun. Survivors include her husband, Donald Rex Young of Worth County; children, Kenneth Young of Worth County, Chris Young (Carla), and Pam Wisham all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Haley Harold (Cameron) and Hannah Wisham; great-grandson, Ryleigh Taylor.
