Mrs. Deloria Ann Pate Denham
December 5, 1938 - March 12, 2022
Peacefully and on the wings of Angels, Deloria Ann Denham, 83 went to her Heavenly home reuniting with her husband of 64 years. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Carter will officiate. Born on December 5th, 1938 in Mystic, Georgia to share croppers Zack and Ida Mae Roberts Pate. “Gma” as she was affectionally known to many, met her lifelong husband Neal a year after graduating High School. Ann and Neal moved to Sylvester from Ocilla in December of 1970, where they raised their four children. Ann worked at Irwin Manufacturing, Suburban Manufacturing, Sylvester Textiles and after their closing; she retired from Walmart in Tifton, GA. Sewing and crocheting were her favorite things to do besides being with her family. She was a sassy, smiling and sincere person; strong willed to a fault and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church since 1971. Ann is survived by her children: Mona (Steve) Powell, Gina (Greg) Crocker, Zack Denham, and Crystal (Joel) Carter. Grandchildren: Nick (Amanda) Powell, Lea Anna Barksdale, Chance Crocker, Zack Denham Jr., and Lyndi (Trey) Dunn, Courtney Carter, and sister Betty Howells. Great grandchildren: Colt Powell, Cade Powell, Julia Barksdale and Callie Dunn and the grand dog Luke. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death her loving husband Neal on March 1, 2022, brothers, Avery Pate, Dalton Pate; sisters, Robena Cannon, and Marilyn Pope. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at New Baptist Church.
