Mr. Chris Vernon White

Mr. Chris Vernon White, 74, of Worth County, died on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Providence Cemetery. The Rev. A.B. Stroud will officiate. Mr. White was born on February 4, 1948 in Albany, GA., to the late Bernis Vernon and Annie Celia Sprayberry White. He had lived in Worth County for the past 29 years, and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. Mr. White was employed with Hatcher Petroleum Transport Company, where he worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed working in his yard, as well as on his cars. Mr. White loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Robin Blevins White of Worth County; children, Chris White, Jr. (Nancy), Keith White (Laura), Kelly McCook (Brad), Wayland Matthews (Katie), and Cody Matthews (Sherri); fourteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by his sisters, Benita Jackson, and Sylvia Lawenthael.
