Mrs. Carolyn Patterson Pate, 81 of Sylvester, died on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Northside Baptist Church, interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Cargle will officiate. Mrs. Pate was born on April 20, 1939 in Worth County, to the late Eugene Ruffin and Ava Elizabeth Frazier Patterson. She had lived in Worth County all of her life and was retired from Worth County Hospital where she worked as an Insurance Representative. Mrs. Pate enjoyed traveling to the mountains, going to the Worth County Senior Center, playing games on her ipad and getting on facebook. Mrs. Pate's favorite day of the year was December 24, where she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Theresa Littleton (Bobby) of Bridgeboro, Jeff Pate (Terri) of Sylvester and Michelle P. Trammell (Michael) of Albany; grandchildren, Lindsay Littleton, Baleigh Littleton, Cameron Littleton, Dale and Cole Pate; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Harold Patterson (Latrelle); sister, Voncile Wilkes (Tommy). In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pate was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Jefferson Pate, Sr., on June 24, 2001 and a sister, Jean Elizabeth Ellis on June 16, 2007. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Northside Baptist Church and will be at the residence of Mrs. Carolyn Pate.
