Mrs. Carole Bridges Carroll Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Carole Bridges Carroll, 73, of Tarrytown died Monday November 29, 2010 at Summers Landing Assisted Living in Vidalia. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday December 1, 2010 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Jones officiating. Mrs. Carroll was born February 17, 1937 in Sylvester to the late Arthur Lee Bridges, Sr. and Georgia Davis Bridges. She was a native of Sylvester but made a home in Albany, GA, Lakeland, FL, Eatonton, GA and Sumner, GA., before residing with her son and daughter in law, Allan and Beth Carroll. She was formerly employed with the Dougherty County Clerks Office, and was a member of the Sumner Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, Allan R. Carroll (Beth) of Tarrytown, GA; Mark F. Carroll (Carol Anne) of Plainville, GA; grandchildren, Chason Carroll (Carolee), Justin Carroll, Brianne White (Brett), Markie Carroll and Erin Carroll; great grandchildren, Peyton Carroll, Alexie Carroll, Kobie Carroll, Alex Carroll, Carson Carroll and Bailee Carroll; brothers, Joe Bridges (Gertrude) of Americus, GA.; Arthur Bridges (Jeanette) of Sylvester, GA; James “Shade” Bridges (Kris) of Branford, FL; Jimmy Bridges (Jane) of Sylvester, GA; sister in law, Laverne Bridges and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by her husband Ira R. “Sonny” Carroll on April 26, 2001, brother Henry Daniel “Pete” Bridges and his wife Dorothy, and Quenton Lee Bridges. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
